PARKS

Val di Sole has two of the most renowned parks in Italy, Stelvio National Park and Adamello Brenta Natural Park, which offer visitors unique experiences in unspoiled protected areas, crossed by rivers and dotted with lakes, where nature reigns supreme.

Stelvio National Park, managed by Trentino, comprises two vast valleys, Val di Pejo and Val di Rabbi, right next to Val di Sole, a beautiful oasis, home to many protected species, such as deer, roe deer, alpine ibex, eagle, wood grouse, and more; visitors can go on excursions or join guided tours – thanks to the collaboration of park rangers who explain the characteristics of the territory and the history of the park – or visit the fauna-dedicated area and other information centres.

Adamello Brenta Natural Park, on the other hand, is known as the custodian of the Dolomites, which have been included in the list of UNESCO's World Heritage Sites; this park is the only area of the Alps still inhabited by bears, symbol of an unspoiled environment, in which visitors can join guided tours, take part in organised initiatives and events and visit multimedia centres to find out more about the geology, flora, fauna and history of one of the most beautiful parks in the world.

Adamello Brenta Natural Park

It stretches between Val di Non, Giudicarie and Val di Sole, and is the largest protected area in Trentino. It covers a surface of 620 square km, which includes the Adamello and Brenta mountain ranges. It has 48 lakes and the Adamello Glacier, one of the largest in Europe. Its peaks offer spectacular views, made even more beautiful by the frame provided by the two mountain ranges. Adamello Brenta Natural Park is home to all the typical Alpine animal species, including the brown bear (more than 50 live here), the symbol of the Park. Also the vegetation is amazing; woods cover the park up to a height of 1800 m and there are plants able to endure the harsh weather conditions of the mountains.

Adamello Brenta Park awarded Holiday Mountain Boutique Hotel with the "Qualità Parco (Park Quality)" certificate, in recognition for its commitment to protect the environment.

Stelvio National Park

Stelvio National Park is located between Val di Pejo and Val di Rabbi, around the Ortler Alps, and has been created to protect the exceptional natural treasures of this area.

The Park offers dazzling views and opportunities to go for walks and excursions in the beautiful Val di Sole. Numerous marked tracks allow visitors to reach the most remote parts of the Park. During the winter, it's ideal for anyone passionate about ski excursions and alpine skiing. The Amadello Glacier is located within the park and covers a few hectares on the side of the mountain.

Stelvio National Park is the perfect home for many species of animals. Deer, roe deer, chamois, alpine ibex and more, including many species of birds, such as the golden eagle, the partridge and the capercaillie, which can be admired when visiting the Park. In recent years, the bearded vulture has been reintroduced in the Park. The Park's plants and trees are as fascinating as its animals. There are many species of conifer (the Norway spruce, silver fir, larch and Swiss, mountain and Scots pine trees), but also less renowned and rare plants, such as the lady's-slipper orchid, which can grow in extreme weather conditions.

During your holiday in Val di Sole, don't miss out on this great opportunity; discover the Park by taking part in our organised excursions.

“Vacanza”

Arrivederci. Fabio
